The Elected Makassar Mayor Danny Pomanto Prepares Barcode To Handle COVID-19

MAKASSAR - The elected Mayor of Makassar M. Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) together with Fatmawati Rusdi prepare barcodes for residents of Makassar City. The goal is to help in dealing with COVID-19 cases.

Danny Pomanto said giving barcode to residents ranging from toddlers, adults to the elderly to fight COVID-19

The model for handling COVID-19 was called Danny Pomanto as a result of studies in Australia and Singapore which provided an explanation of the barcode's function for residents of the city nicknamed "Kota Anging Mammiri".

"So all residents of Makassar City will be fitted with a barcode. In that barcode will become the data platform and health status of each resident," said Danny Pomanto as quoted by Antara, Friday, February 19.

Danny Pomanto said that the concept of overcoming COVID-19 must be carried out simultaneously and pick up the ball and involve the entire community.

He said there were 10 thousand volunteers, namely community leaders, 5,000 paramedics, 3,006 doctors who would work together to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

"If not simultaneously, we will lose to this virus. Because this virus is smart, it must be dealt together," he said.
