MAKASSAR - A video footage from surveillance cameras/CCTV makes a scene on social media. The sightings recorded by CCTV are said to resemble a pocong.

This video was spread across social media on Saturday, January 13. In the video, it appears that a figure walks by in a white 'dress'. Also recorded dogs trying to catch the apparition.

Regarding this video, the General Secretary of the South Sulawesi Indonesia Ulema Council (MUI), Prof. H.M. Gholib gave a response.

"Indeed, in Islam it is recognized, so there are creatures whose names are jinn, they cannot be seen with the naked eye," said H.M. Gholib.

"A creature called a jinn can change shape, when it changes form, in physical form it is possible to see it. So something like that is possibly visible, if it changes shape, it will be in the form of a pocong that can be seen, although in general it is like that," said Gholib.

But Gholib reminded the public not to worry. The public must continue to ask for protection from Allah SWT so that everything they do is free from any interference.

"I don't think we need to panic, but we shouldn't underestimate and dare to challenge it. We give it to Allah, we ask Allah to protect us and strengthen our belief and surrender ourselves and remind each other," he continued.
