JAKARTA - Candidate for governor number 01, Ridwan Kamil, responded to the results of the quick count of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada, which was temporarily won by candidate pair number 03, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

Ridwan Kamil appealed to Jakarta residents to wait for the official results announced by the Jakarta KPUD on December 16-18, 2024.

"For Jakarta residents, of course, you will continue to wait until the official decision if I'm not mistaken, December 16-18, 2024," said Ridwan Kamil at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Ridwan Kamil said that if the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will take place in two rounds, then his party will maximize socialization and campaign to win the hearts of Jakarta residents.

"If it really has to be the second round, yes, let's communicate again. Of course we will hear all forms of campaigns in the second stage, which of course must be better," he said.

According to him, the Jakarta Pilkada this time is different from the previous five years. He assessed that the 2024 Pilkada was more responsive so he believed it would run smoothly and peacefully even though it was held twice in rounds.

"Those who used to be rivals became friends, friends became rivals, there was no problem. Then the campaign was relatively cheerful, there were no SARA things that surfaced in the process for the past two months," he said.

Ridwan Kamil hopes that this peaceful Pilkada will be a reference that the five-year democratic party is in accordance with its needs.

His party, he said, would also focus on facing Jakarta's problems in the future which would not be easy with all its challenges.

"Hopefully the citizens of Jakarta will remain enthusiastic because I am sure that whoever is elected is good people, the intentions are good, and the program is also good. It's just a matter of course whose destiny is for whom," he said again.
