Jessica Mila Speaks Out After Being Accused of Ignoring the Ban on Sailing on Padar Island: It's a Lie

JAKARTA - Jessica Mila's family vacation in Labuan Bajo was recently disturbed by the slanted accusations of netizens. This family is accused of still forcing themselves to sail to Padar Island even though it is suspected that there has been a circular regarding the ban on sailing due to bad weather from the authorities.

Not wanting wild speculation to develop, the woman who is familiarly called Jesmil finally gave a firm clarification through a post on her personal Instagram. She revealed the chronology and the reason behind their decision to still leave on that day.

"My family and I prioritize security and safety when traveling, especially with Kyarra and other children in our group," wrote Jesmil in the first point of his explanation, quoted Tuesday, August 11.

He emphasized that as passengers, they completely leave the decision on the route and the safety of the trip to the captain or captain of the ship that carries them.

Jessica Mila also clarified the news that they deliberately violated the rules. According to him, from the beginning of the journey, there was no information at all from the ship regarding the ban on sailing to Padar Island.

"I need to clarify that from the beginning there was NO notification from the Captain that there was a ban on sailing to Padar Island," he said.

In fact, he admitted that he did not suspect because he saw the conditions on the ground which were monitored by other tourists.

"We also had no suspicions at all during the trip because there were many other boats and other tourists who leaned and went to Padar Island that day and the weather was relatively good," he continued.

Furthermore, he stated that his family would never take a risk that would endanger their lives, especially because they were carrying small children. If they had known there was a ban from the beginning, they would have definitely chosen to postpone their departure.

Yakup Hasibuan's wife also felt very disadvantaged by the accusation that her party was "stubborn" or forced to leave in the midst of bad weather.

"It is NOT TRUE and is a slander if someone says we have known about the circular from before and as if we still ignored it, especially there is an accusation that we forced the will to continue to leave," he concluded.

Although he felt he was being slandered, he admitted that he still empathized with travel agents and other tourists who were forced to postpone their trips due to the issuance of the circular from the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs (DJPL).

This clarification is expected to straighten out the skewed news that is circulating and confirms that their family's trip was carried out according to the instructions of the ship's duty personnel.
