Pilkada 2024, Komeng: Hopefully The Participation Rate Of Voters Will Increase

JAKARTA - Member of the DPD RI Alfiansyah Bustami alias Komeng has exercised his voting rights for the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) at the 005 Voting Station (TPS), Bogor Regency, West Java on Wednesday and hopes that the number of community participation in the 2024 Pilkada in the Bogor area can increase.

"The Bogor Regency yesterday was only 83 percent of the Legislative Member Election (participation of voters)," said Komeng when met after voting.

"Right now, I ask if I'm not mistaken, 85 percent, if it can increase, I hope I don't get involved," he continued.

The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java has targeted the voter participation rate in the 2024 Pilkada to exceed 85 percent. Meanwhile, during the presidential election in February 2024, 84.77 percent of voter participation was recorded as a whole.

Therefore, Komeng hopes that the public can exercise their voting rights wisely and that the number of white groups or golput (not choosing) can decrease.

With the support of the community, the democratic process in Indonesia can be realized well and achieve maximum results.

During the voting process, Komeng looks relaxed and does not take long to choose a candidate for regional head of his choice. According to him, choosing the right regional head candidate can be seen through their background and performance so far, so it is not difficult for him to make a choice.

"No, they've already caught the track record," said Komeng.

In the 2024 Pilkada, Komeng hopes that the elected regional heads can carry out their duties properly, especially regional heads in the West Java region where they choose.

He also hopes that future regional leaders can make changes in a better direction, including the welfare of the people in their respective leadership areas.

"It can only improve the welfare of West Java residents, the only point is that," he said ending the conversation.
