Soon To Vote, Central Jakarta City Government Prepares Mental Health Services For Stress Candidates Who Fail To Escape

JAKARTA Anticipate the emergence of legislative candidates (Caleg) suffering from stress due to failing to qualify in the 2024 General Election, the Central Jakarta City Government (Jakpus) has prepared mental health service facilities at the Puskesmas.

This service is specifically for election participants who fail, especially legislative candidates because it tends to have a higher stress level.

"Prepared anticipation of facilities or services under the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept. (Sudinkes) has certainly been prepared at puskesmas and hospitals," said Head of the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Risma Sari when confirmed, Friday, January 26.

This special mental health facility or service is an anticipation for election participants who fail. If there is such a case, he continued, then mental health services will be available at the puskesmas in the Central Jakarta area.

Furthermore, when there is a special case because it needs to be hospitalized, it will be referred to the hospital.

According to Risma, the factors that cause legislative candidates or election participants to be stressed when they fail or lose can occur due to high expectations that are not met, while all efforts and resources have been made.

"From the experience of previous elections, the Central Jakarta area has never been found or there have been no reports," he said.
