Polda Metro Jaya deployed 2,126 joint personnel to ensure the security of Persija's match against Persib in the continuation of Liga 1 which was held at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, on Sunday 16 February at 15.30 WIB.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi stated that the joint personnel consisted of various agencies, including Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Bekasi City, Polres Metro Bekasi, TNI, local government, and other related parties.

The personnel will be placed at several strategic points, starting from access to stadiums, match areas, to surrounding areas. This step is taken to ensure smoothness and security during the match.

In addition to security, the police also reminded supporters not to bring prohibited items into stadiums, such as firecrackers, flares, sharp weapons, and alcoholic beverages. The police appealed to all parties to maintain security and order during the match.

Ade Ary hopes that supporters can create a conducive atmosphere by being polite and avoiding acts of anarchism and destruction of public facilities. To anticipate congestion, the police will apply situational traffic arrangements around the stadium and urge road users to find alternative routes.

Strict action will be taken to anyone caught carrying prohibited items into the stadium. However, all security personnel continue to prioritize a humanist approach in carrying out their duties. No personnel are allowed to carry firearms.

Currently, Persija Jakarta is in third place in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 39 points from 22 matches, while Persib Bandung occupies the top position with a difference of 10 points. The magnitude of the prestige of the two teams makes this match predicted to take place with high tension.
