Protecting Children And Wife, Ruben Onsu Report Haters To Police

JAKARTA - Ruben Onsu can no longer hold his patience with the amount of social media content that has been inappropriate for his family. After sending an open subpoena via his social media, Sarwendah's husband decided to make a police report.

Present at Metro Jaya Police on Monday, 13 February 2023 afternoon with his legal team, Ruben only informed Sarwendah in the morning of the same day.

The 39-year-old presenter said his wife looked calm when she was told that he would make a police report. "You could see her face was very calm when I said I wanted to go to the Police with a team of lawyers. So she has a calm face, so she thinks there is an action from her husband that can protect her and her children," Ruben told the media crew at Metro Jaya Police on Monday, 13 February 2023.

Ruben regretted that several social media accounts continued to produce content that created negative narratives against his wife and children, even though he had issued a stern warning and an open summons some time ago. “This perpetrator doesn't seem like he was born from a human womb. A woman who is said to be like that, he doesn't think about the impact, she also has a daughter," he said.

"I also have 2 young daughters, where I can't limit this digital footprint. At least what I did, my children saw me defending my family," he continued.

Meanwhile, Ruben Onsu's lawyer stated that his client's decision to report several social media accounts was the right action.

"What we are doing is a form of education to the public so that they no longer spread defamatory content, containing fake news," concluded Ruben Onsu's lawyer.
