Police Secure 14-Year-Old Boy Suspected Of Obscenity In Pancoran Mosque Toilet

JAKARTA - The police have arrested RA (14), the alleged perpetrator of sexual abuse against a 5-year-old girl at the Mosque in the Pancoran area, South Jakarta, last Saturday, January 4.

"We have secured the child too," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Nurma when confirmed, Tuesday, January 7.

Nurma said that until now the alleged perpetrator had been investigated regarding the sexual abuse of the 5-year-old boy.

"We are calling to examine his father from the residents we have questioned," he said

Nurma said that currently RA is still a witness. Because the investigative team is still collecting a number of evidences to the testimony of witnesses and the results of the victim's post-mortem.

"For now, it is still being secured, still being a witness, we are still securing it," he said.

The police will investigate the motive of the alleged perpetrator, whether his actions were caused by the content he saw or not.

"Yes, we are still investigating (about the spectacle he sees) anything that can be done to other people," he said.

RK (5), a girl in Pancoran, South Jakarta, became a victim of sexual abuse by her playmate RA (14) in a mosque toilet and an alley near her house, on Saturday, January 4, at 16.00 WIB.

The victim was molested by the perpetrator in the mosque toilet. The action was discovered by his eight-year-old brother. Then, asked his sister to go home.

On the way, the victim was followed again by the perpetrator. Until arriving at the alley near the house, the perpetrator again committed sexual abuse against the victim.

The victim cried until she got home and reported the incident to her parents.
