Meanwhile, West Amarasi Sub-District Head, Kornelis Nenoharan, said the emergence of spring water at the avalanche site was known to residents on Tuesday, April 6, after the storm subsided.
"When residents came to the avalanche site to see their property that could still be saved, they saw there appeared a considerable amount of water from the avalanche site," he said.
Tunbaun Village Government has reminded local residents not to approach the avalanche site in anticipation of further disasters.
"Moreover, the land at the site of this avalanche continues to move so that it is very dangerous to the safety of residents," Nenoharan said.
