Press Stunting Rate, East Jakarta Police Distribute Basic Food To Hundreds Of Klender Residents

East Jakarta Metro Police distributed basic food types of social assistance to residents of Jalan Agricultural, RT 05/01, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta on Thursday, June 27.

The basic food assistance was given to residents of RW 01 to reduce the stunting rate that is rife in the area.

"We chose RW 01 Klender Village because many residents here are stunted. So by providing this basic food assistance, we are also helping residents here to prevent stunting or mitigation, reducing stunting in RW 01," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly told reporters at the location.

The Police Chief hopes that the basic food assistance activities given to residents can be useful so that the Police will be more and more loved by the community.

"We provide social assistance here, there are 180 basic food boxes assistance to residents of RW 01. This activity is in celebration of the 78th Bhayangkara Day," he said.

Social assistance in the form of distributing basic necessities is provided to help ease the burden of life. The types of basic necessities distributed to residents affected by stunting are rice, milk, flour, indomie, tea and others.

"We hope that residents will help and participate in maintaining security and social order in their environment. That is our hope from the Police, especially the East Jakarta Metro Police," he said.
