MEDAN - Medan City Government and Medan City Regional People's Representative Council agreed to discuss a program to form the regional regulations program (Propemperda). Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution is ready to fix Medan.

There are 28 Draft Regional Regulations (Ranperda) proposed, namely 15 Drafts from Medan City Government, the Draft initiated by the Medan Regional People's Representative Council, and 1 Draft jointly proposed.

"I hope that from the 15 Drafts that have been proposed by Medan City Government, it can achieve 5 main targets. Among them are health, cleanliness, infrastructure improvement, improvement of the Kesawan area towards Medan City, The Kitchen of Asia, and flood problems in Medan City,” said Bobby Nasution, Monday, March 8.

The signing of the concept of a joint agreement of the regional regulation formulation program was held in the plenary room of the Medan Regional People's Representative Council. After it is agreed that the Draft Regional Regulation in the regional regulation formulation program will be discussed so that it becomes a Regional Regulation.

"In the health sector, Medan City Government has a target to reduce the spread of COVID-19, one of which is through the vaccination program. In the field of cleanliness, we target that the waste problem will be resolved immediately. In addition, improvements in the infrastructure sector are targeted in 2 years, the problem will be resolved," said Bobby Nasution in a plenary determination of the Medan City Regional Regulation Formulation Program (Propemperda) in 2021.

Meanwhile, in the cultural heritage area, Medan Government City is targeting Kesawan to be a heritage and culinary area that will make Medan even better known. The next target is to solve the flood problem in the capital city of North Sumatra Province.

"The target of Medan City Government in Kesawan is to become a Heritage area and the realization of the ideals of Medan City, namely The Kitchen of Asia," said Bobby Nasution in a statement from Medan City Government.

According to Bobby Nasution, Regional Regulations (Perda) are laws and regulations that are formed by mutual agreement between the Regional People's Representative Council and the regional head. Apart from that, Regional Regulation is also part of the hierarchy of legislation considering the importance of drafting regional regulations in the context of implementing regional government in regional autonomy.

"The formulation of regional regulations must be based on a good and definite method. In addition, an orderly order is needed, starting from the planning stage to the validation of the applicable regulations. Therefore, today the Medan City Government proposes 15 Draft Regional Regulations to be included in the Regional Regulation Formulation Program," continued Bobby Nasution.
