Iran: All Threats of Enemies are Considered Real and Will Be Responded to Seriously

JAKARTA - The interim Minister of Defense of Iran, Brigadier General Majid Ebn-e-Reza, said that his country considers any threat from the enemy as a real threat and deserves serious attention.

The statement was made by Ebn-e-Reza through a message uploaded on his social media account on Sunday in response to threats from what he called enemies.

"The recent statements of the enemy, although delivered in the framework of psychological operations and cognitive warfare, we still view as a real and credible threat," he wrote.

He stressed that Iran would not be complacent or passive.

"We make every threat a basis for increasing preparedness, strengthening prevention, and developing our capabilities," he said.

The Iranian minister's statement came after US President Donald Trump canceled plans to attack Iran's energy infrastructure following harsh warnings from Iranian officials that any new aggression from the US or Israel would be answered decisively.

Meanwhile, on Saturday evening (1/8), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan that Tehran remained ready to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.

"Any hostile action by the United States or Israel, as well as the involvement or cooperation by regional countries in such actions, will receive a firm and proportionate response from the powerful Iranian armed forces," Araghchi said as quoted by Antara.
