Artidjo's Body Is Buried In The UII Yogyakarta Cemetery

JAKARTA - The body of the deceased member of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Dewas KPK) Artidjo Alkostar was buried in the Cemetery of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, Monday.

"The burial place is in the UII Cemetery Complex, UII Integrated Campus, Kaliurang Street Km. 14.5 Sleman, Yogyakarta," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement in Jakarta, Monday, March 1.

Previously, he said, the body of the late Artidjo had been dispatched from the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta on Sunday, February 28, at 20.00 Western Indonesia Time.

"The body will be immediately rested in the Auditorium of the Prof. Abdul Kahar Muzakkir UII Integrated Campus," said Ali.

Furthermore, the funeral procession by the UII Rectorate is planned for Monday at 10.00 Western Indonesia Time, before it will be performed at the Ulil Albab UII Mosque.

Ali also informed that the KPK leadership, chairman, and members of the KPK Supervisory Board, and several other KPK structural officials were also scheduled to attend the funeral procession.

Previously, Artidjo died on Sunday, February 28 at 14.00 Western Indonesia Time.

Artidjo is a legal expert born in Situbondo, May 22, 1948. Artidjo has been on the KPK Supervisory Board since December 20, 2019 together with Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean, Albertina Ho, Syamsuddin Haris and Harjono.

Before serving as a member of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Artidjo was Chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, who was known to provide harsh sentences and additional sentences to defendants in corruption cases.
