JAKARTA - A man with the initials R (46), a resident of Berkoh, South Purwokerto District, was arrested by the PPA Unit of the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit for having the heart to have sex with his stepdaughter with the initials LS (16) for years. The depraved act was carried out by the perpetrators from the age of 10 to 16 years.

The Head of Banyumas Police, Kombes Pol. Edy Suranta Sitepu, through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Adriansyah Rithas Hasibuan, revealed that the case of sexual intercourse with his stepdaughter was revealed after the victim confessed to his older brother that the suspect had been having sex with him, namely the victim's stepfather.

Not accepting the lecherous treatment of his stepfather, the victim's brother named EE (38) reported R to the police.

"Following up on the report, we secured perpetrator R on Wednesday (January 24) at Berkoh Purwokerto Selatan", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, in a written statement, Tuesday, January 30.

From the results of the examination, it was known that the intercourse was carried out on Friday, December 15, 2023, at around 07.00 WIB at the victim's house in South Purwokerto District. The perpetrator ordered the victim to enter the room and massage the perpetrator's feet in a quiet house.

"So when the victim's mother left the house, the perpetrator ordered the victim to go to the room with the mode of massaging her leg but the perpetrator then had intercourse with her stepdaughter", said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.

According to the victim's statement, he received the treatment for years from the age of 10 and was threatened with death if he informed his mother.

"The victim received treatment up to three times a week, until he grew up and then the victim rebelled and told his older brother", explained the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.

Currently, the perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit Banyumas for further legal proceedings.

"For his actions, perpetrator R was charged with the alleged criminal act of sexual intercourse with a child as referred to in Article 81 of Law no. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law no. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with a maximum threat of 15 years in prison", concluded the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.
