Good News, This International Hotel Chain Accepts Cryptocurrency Payments
JAKARTA - You have crypto money and want to use it for a vacation? Certainly can. The recent popularity of cryptocurrency has made it acceptable for various types of transactions, from online transactions to hotel reservations.
Like this one hotel chain, The Pavilions Hotels & Resort. Guests staying in all of their hotel chains can make payments with cryptocurrencies of various types.
According to Euro News on July 16, fans of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and 40 other popular virtual currencies can safely transact at their preferred Pavilions network accommodations around the world.
Judging from the company's website, this hotel chain has properties in Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome to Lisbon in Europe, among others. Meanwhile, in Asia, there are Bali, Phuket, and the Himalayas. There are also in Mongolia, Niseko, El Nido, Palawan Island to Anana Krabi.
The hotel chain joins US luxury chain Kessler Collection, which announced they will start accepting Bitcoin payments as part of a growing number of destinations embracing virtual currencies.
This announcement is the result of a partnership between the group and the leading global crypto payment gateway, Coindirect. The company emerged during the crypto boom in 2017 and has since overseen payments of up to 300 million euros across a number of businesses.
Currently, crypto payments must be completed via an email order center, with a website ordering system featured in the coming months.
Guests receive a payment link that expires 90 minutes after the time of their booking for maximum security. From there, details can be provided via a QR code or virtual wallet data store on your smartphone.
As such, Pavilions will be the first global tourism and hospitality group to introduce cryptocurrency into their complex booking network.
“We are proud to provide partners with a platform for instant secure payments with over 40 cryptocurrencies. This is a critical factor for The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts”, said Jesse Hemson-Struthers, CEO and co-founder of Coindirect.
He described that the entire transaction process carried out guarantees security, flexibility, and convenience for those who choose this alternative payment method.
“Guests can take advantage of payments in the cryptocurrency of their choice, based on their currency and location at the time of booking, offering more freedom and personalized contemporary services”, he continued.
