OnePlus Open Apex Edition Comes With VIP Mode For Better Privacy

JAKARTA - OnePlus has confirmed that the latest edition of their flagship foldable, OnePlus Open Apex Edition, will launch on 7 August. The model will come with a new Crampson Shadow color that has synthetic skin finishing, enhanced storage, and new AI image editing capabilities.

One of the most interesting new features is the VIP mode added to the OnePlus Open Apex Edition. Although complete details about this mode have not been disclosed, it is likely that this feature will be similar to VIP mode on the latest OPPO devices, such as Find N3 and Find X7 Ultra.

According to the announcement on X (formerly Twitter), this VIP mode will allow users to easily disable camera, microphone and location access by using a warning slider. The video included in the announcement features the VIP mode animation of the OPPO device, which confirms the resemblance of this feature.

No significant changes are expected in this Apex Edition hardware, with a large increase likely to be aimed at the OnePlus Open 2 which is planned to come next year.
