Jupiter Hit By Sky Objects, What Is It?

JAKARTA - An amateur astronomer has just captured a video showing Jupiter being hit by a small space object suddenly.

An amateur astronomy account on X, Masa Planetary Log posted a hit video that occurred on August 28 at 12:45 ET, showing footage showing a short burst of light from Jupiter attributed to the impact of a comet or asteroid.

The celestial object may be several tens of meters wide. When it drove across Jupiter's high sky, it hit atmospheric molecules rapidly causing friction and heating.

The account is also affiliated with the Organized Autotelescopes for Serendipinous Event Survey (OASES) project and the Planetary Observation Camera for Optical Transient Surveys (PONCOTS) system.

Another independent observation was made by Chinese amateur astronomers in the city of Zhengzhou, Henan Province. In fact, this event is not surprising, Jupiter is familiar with the impact.

As a certified giant, the strong gravitational pull of the earth and its proximity to the main asteroid belt put it in danger.

Launching Space, Monday, September 4, the most prominent previous event was the fraction of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, fragmented to collide with Jupiter in 1994, leaving evidence in the atmosphere visible to astronomers for months afterward.
