Microsoft Begins Trial Of Subscription Plans That Let Users Share With Up To Four People

JAKARTA - As with Microsoft's vision in general, which is always looking for ways to provide more experience and offer more game options to players, starting August 4, some Xbox users will already be able to see the new subscription plan options.

Based on the announcement shared, this new subscription plan will allow multiple people to benefit from Game Pass Ultimate.

It doesn't have to be in the same family, this Game Pass Sharing package can be used by up to four people from the same country.

"Starting today in Colombia and Ireland, Xbox Insiders can start previewing plans that will allow multiple people to share the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate," the announcement reads.

According to the company, this subscription plan will make it easier to experience playing the best Game Pass games with friends and family across consoles, PCs, and the cloud.

"To participate in the preview, you need to purchase the "Xbox Game Pass Insider Preview" Game Pass package on the Microsoft Store," explains Microsoft.

Microsoft provided some known notes about this new subscription plan, including:

• The people you share your membership with don't have to be insiders but must live in the same country as you. Registration is limited and will remain open as long as offers are available.
• Joining Game Pass – Insider Preview will convert the time remaining on your membership to time in the new plan. For example, a full month of Ultimate will convert to 18 days of membership for this plan.
• Conversions are not available for invited group members. Before joining a group, group members can cancel their existing subscription or wait for it to expire. If they don't have a Microsoft account, invited friends and family must create a new Microsoft account and sign in with that account to participate.
• Members with Xbox All Access will not be able to participate in this preview.
• In Colombia, some copies for preview have not been localized and may be displayed in English.

According to a note from The Verge, users in Ireland are currently being offered a preview version of this new sharing package for 21.99 Euros per month.

Since last April, Microsoft has been sharing plans to launch a family subscription plan for Xbox Game Pass or Family Plan. With the launch of this sharing package, it means that Microsoft is ready to show how Xbox Games Pass Ultimate works more broadly.
