Start In Buncit Order, Racer From Lombok Wins ARRC UB 150

NTB - Racer from Lombok, Arai Agaska Dibani Laksana managed to become the fastest in the 2023 Indonesia UB 150 Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) round.

The racer with the number 338, who started from the distended or last, managed to overtake other racers with quite a tight competition during the race at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, race 2 on Sunday, August 13.

Initially, Arai was able to be in the top 10, then managed to win first place in the final lap after overtaking the racer from Malaysia Nazrul Izzad who grabbed the second podium and racer Husni Zaenul Fuadzi from Indonesia who grabbed the third podium.

"Thank God, thank you to the supporters," Arai told reporters during a press conference at the Mandalika media center, Sunday.

On the second day of Saturday (12/8), Arai Agaska Dibani Laksana won 4th position in the UB150 class in the Mandalika Circuit race 1.

"I have been preparing myself since yesterday before the race. I started in 29th position and won today," he said.

He said, the condition of the Mandalika Circuit track was quite good, but the weather conditions were quite hot and the winds were strong.

"The weather is quite hot. I am happy to be able to win," he said, confiscated by Antara.

Previously, the second day of the ARRC 2023 schedule started with two qualifying sessions for the ASIA One Make Championship TVS class, then the 4th practice session for the ASB1000 class, qualifying for the UB150, AP250, and SS600 classes, Shoot Out Top 15 Riders UB150, and quality ASB1000.

Followed by noon with race 1 of the ASIA One Make Championship TVS class in a row, then UB150, AP250, SS600, and before finally closing in race 1 of the ASB1000 class.

The competitive spirit of participants in the ARRC event can be seen from the difference in the thin travel time between racers in each race. The pole position is taking place in almost every class, providing an exciting and interesting spectacle.

A number of Indonesian racers reached the podium position, including Herjun Atna Firdaus from the Astra Honda Racing Team, as well as Aldi Satya Mahendra and Wahyu Nugroho from Yamaha Racing Indonesia for the AP250 class, and Andi Farid Izdihar from Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA for the ASB1000 class.

President Director of PT Mandalika Grand Prix Association Nusantara Jaya (MGPA) Priandhi Satria revealed that the second day of the ARRC 2023 Indonesian Round had gone well. The entire qualifying session and the first race of all classes has gone smoothly and safely.

"As organizers, we always ensure the readiness of every racing session so that it can run well, and we hope that the third day tomorrow can run again without a hitch," he said.

The third day of ARRC 2023 Indonesian Round Sunday, August 13, will present race 2 for the ASIA One Make Championship, UB150, AP250, SS600, and ASB1000 TVS classes.

"In addition to the exciting race session, because each rider is definitely trying to get points from round to 4 ARRC, the third day tomorrow will be filled with cultural performances offered by the NTB Regional Government to enliven the Grid Ceremony," he said.
