JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil (RK) will build housing in the middle of the city so that young people who live or work in Jakarta do not easily stress. According to him, this is in accordance with the direction of the President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

This was conveyed by Ridwan Kamil after observing the problems of young people related to the problem of house ownership.

"In my opinion, one of the problems in Jakarta is that the distance from the house to work is too far, because it makes people too far, eventually stressed, makes the income of Jakarta residents 30 percent run out in transportation by making pollution the third worst city in the world right?" said Ridwan Kamil at the Fanta HQ Headquarters, Menteng Jakarta, Monday, September 2.

"So one of the ideas and directions of Pak Prabowo is Jakarta, please build housing in the middle of the city but the land is finished," he continued.

The curator of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) assessed that the construction of houses in densely populated areas could be carried out vertically or to build houses on the top of the Jakarta market. Even on government lands left to IKN.

"So later try to build on the Jakarta markets, on Manggarai, Dukuh at the top, on Tanah Abang, Djuanda, etc," said RK.

"Love is Prabowo to the number one (people). So the president who cares about people's housing, vertical Jakarta, including the idea of building on the road and so on, that will be a priority," he added.

The former governor of West Java also told about how expensive it is to live in Jakarta. He knew this when conducting a survey by asking workers in Jakarta.

RK said, many young people hope that their income will be more stable if transportation from home to work is more affordable.
