JAKARTA - Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rojiuun, senior journalist Drs. H. Kamsul Hasan, SH, MH, passed away. The sad news of the death of the Chairman of the Central PWI LKBPH and the Head of the Advocacy and Defense Division of PWI Central Journalists was received by VOI editors on Tuesday, July 9 evening from the PWI Jakarta management. If there is no change in the body, they will be buried on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10.00 WIB.

The news circulating in the Whats-App Group of the Warga Association at 16.39 WIB. In a short time, news of the departure of H. Kamsul Hasan bin H. Cholil bin Suaep spread from various GWA journalists and also social media.

Before exhaling his last breath, the deceased had already suffered from diabetes. Several times Bang Kamsul --demikian we used to greet him-- was hospitalized intensively. As a result of his illness he had to use a wheelchair in his activities.

Even though he is using a wheelchair, the spirit is still on. A few months ago while attending the funeral of senior journalist Sakti Sawung Umbara, he was still able to drive his car all the way, even though he was from the car to the burial location in a wheelchair. And in several other events such as National Press Day 2024 at the Ancol Convention, Jakarta, February 2024, he also looks excited.

The body of the deceased is now buried in the funeral home, Tebet Dalam ID No. 10 RT 001 RW 002, Tebet Barat Village, South Jakarta. According to the family, the deceased will be buried on Wednesday, July 10 at 10.00 WIB at the Menteng Pulo TPU, South Jakarta.

With prayers, the late senior journalist H. Kamsul Hasan, who during his lifetime served as Chairman of PWI Jakarta and also as Ombudsman VOI, received the best place in the sight of Allah SWT and the family who only needed to be strengthened.
