Jokowi: While There Is No DOB In All Countries

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo revealed that currently there are hundreds of regencies/cities including provinces that have proposed new autonomous regions (DOBs). "“Yang has proposed more than 300 regencies/cities and provinces," said President Joko Widodo to reporters on the sidelines of a working visit in Central Kalimantan, Antara, Thursday, June 27. However, said the Head of State, there will be no DOB in the near future throughout the country. “DOB, there is no DOB, no DOB, while throughout the country, yes,” said the President. Currently, there are a total of 38 provinces throughout Indonesia.

The last DOB set is in 2022 in Papua which covers four regions, namely Central Papua, South Papua, Papua Mountains and Southwest Papua.
