Police Arrest Robbery Perpetrators When Victims Are Stuck In Traffic On Tanjung Priok Km13 Access Toll Road

JAKARTA - A male car driver with the initials IBA (52) became a victim of a robbery when he was caught in traffic jams on the Tanjung Priok Km 13 access Toll Road, North Jakarta. In fact, the victim's wife was also attacked by a gang of robbers.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the incident occurred on Friday, January 3.

He explained that the incident was chaotic when the victim was stuck in traffic at the crime scene (TKP).

Not long after, the gang of 6 perpetrators who were carrying sharp weapons suddenly confronted the victim's car. The perpetrator at that time tried to steal and also attacked the victim's wife.

"Then 6 perpetrators came with sharp weapons that immediately blocked the victim's car and tried to attack the victim's wife from the side," said Ade Ary when confirmed, Sunday, January 5.

North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Ahmad Fuady, said that his party, who received the information, immediately moved to conduct an investigation. As a result, one perpetrator can be arrested.

"Those who brought sickles have been arrested," he said.

Fuady said that currently the police are still hunting down other fellow perpetrators who are suspected of being involved in the robbery. He suspects that there are 6 perpetrators.

"Still being developed to hunt down other perpetrators," he concluded.
