TANGERANG - Muhammad Dian Permana (27), chairman of the 2024 Tangerang Lentera Festival committee, was arrested in the Banten area. After being questioned for several hours, Dian Permana admitted that he had fled before the event was held.

Muhammad Dian Permana was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement of artist money and fraudulent music concert tickets at Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency.

Head of Public Relations of the Tangerang Police, Ipda Jaenudin, said Permana fled alone from the concert which was supposed to start on Sunday, June 23, at 18.00 WIB. However, he left at 17.00 WIB.

"Before the concert took place. When checking MDP's house was done, he was not at his residence. (The perpetrator) ran away alone. He ran away to Lebak (Banten)," Jaenudin told reporters at the Pasar Kemis Police, Tangerang Regency, Wednesday, June 26, evening.

After that, the music concert which invited the Guyon Waton to NDX AKA band was canceled. As a result, the audience was angry and disappointed to set the stage on fire.

The next day, the head of the concert committee was reported to the police regarding allegations of embezzlement and fraud.

The police who received the report conducted an investigation until they were finally arrested in the Lebak area, Banten, Wednesday, June 26, during the day.

"Secured in the Lebak area during the day," he said.

Currently, the perpetrators have been taken to the Pasar Kemis Police for further investigation, in order to find out the motive for the embezzlement.

"We are still investigating the motive, in examining everything," he said.

For the status of the perpetrator himself, said Jaenudin, Permana is still a witness. So that an in-depth examination is still being carried out.

"Status is still a witness," he said.
