Get BPKP, KKP Guard Revitalization Of Tambak Idle Pantura

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) cooperates with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to oversee the revitalization of idle ponds in Pantura. This is to increase the productivity of aquaculture in a sustainable manner.

"We have met with the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Muhammad Yusuf Ateh to discuss the planned revitalization of tens of thousands of hectares of idle ponds spread along the Pantura route," said Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono quoting Antara.

Minister Trenggono wants the rebuilding of the ponds to run according to the rules. The revitalization program is to revive unused ponds for tilapia fish cultivation activities.

"In its implementation, it needs the involvement of various sectors. Starting from talking about land ownership, population data, to supervising its implementation," said Trenggono.

Starting the revitalization program for idle ponds, the KKP has built a modeling of copy tilapia cultivation (BINS) in Karawang, West Java as a pilot. The cultivation method implemented in Karawang can be duplicated to support the revitalization program of idle ponds.

BINS is a modeling of the modern, profitable, and sustainable copy tilapia cultivation business system. To replicate this model in various places without burdening state finances, his party plans to involve business actors so that production is more focused and optimal.

On the other hand, the state will still get income to carry out development in other areas.

"KKP needs a BPKP legal fatwa to be able to implement the BINS Karawang management business model in accordance with applicable regulations and regulations," he said.

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) will revitalize the stambak stalled' in the North Coast (Pantura) area of Java. The implementation of the pond revitalization project is planned to start in 2025.

The initial revitalization will begin in 2025, targeting 13 thousand hectares of stalled ponds out of a total area of 78 thousand hectares. Revitalization is targeted for completion in 2029 in four provinces and 28 districts/cities.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Muhammad Yusuf Ateh welcomed the planned revitalization program for idle ponds.

Ateh said he was ready to support the cultivation program, which is one of the implementations of Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo in fulfilling food security.

"We will immediately study the land to be used along with existing cultivation modeling," said Ateh.
