7 Homeless People In Central Jakarta Get Officer Nets

JAKARTA - Joint officers from the Central Jakarta City Government have arrested seven Social Welfare Service Providers (PPKS) operating on Jalan Senen Raya, Kembang Raya, and Jalan Kwitang Raya in the Senen District.

The officers involved were 13 Satpol PP personnel and the remaining five people from the Service, Supervision and Social Control Officer (P3S) Central Jakarta Social Service Sub-department. "The outreach activity is a follow-up to reports from residents who feel uneasy about the presence of homeless people. As a result, we managed to net seven people," said Head of Satpol PP Senen Subdistrict, Aries Cahyadi, Wednesday, June 26. In addition to carrying out PPKS coverage, Aries admitted that officers were also conducting regional patrols. They ignored street vendors (PKL) who held stalls on the shoulders and bodies of the three roads. "Of the seven PPKS that were netted, two of them were still children. We have handed them over to the Social Insan Daya 1 Development Center," said Aries.

Previously, the Head of the Central Jakarta Social Service (Sudinsos), Abdul Salam, said that the PPKS that was caught in the operation would be trained at the Social Institution. "Officers there will conduct assessments for them so that later coaching can be carried out according to their respective conditions," Abdul said when contacted in Jakarta, Sunday (16/6). Abdul said that in the last five months around 328 PPKS were caught in Central Jakarta (Jakpus). The PPKS consists of homeless people, silver people,malos, to manusia carts.
