JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) has again sent humanitarian assistance from the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) for flood and landslide disaster victims in a number of areas in South Sulawesi.
Acting (Pj) Regional Secretary (Sekda) of South Sulawesi Andi Muhammad Arsjad, said this assistance came from the OPD of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government to be distributed directly to areas affected by floods and landslides through the main post in Luwu Regency.
"Today we both release OPD humanitarian assistance for victims of flash floods and landslides. This assistance, God willing, will be distributed to affected areas," he said.
The type of aid sent, he said, was in the form of funds collected for two days with a total of more than Rp. 289 million and other assistance such as foodstuffs, drinks, suitable clothes, baby needs, medicines, women's needs, and other necessities.
He explained that some of the aid had been handed over to the main post and had also been distributed earlier, so that this assistance would further maximize the fulfillment of needs for victims affected by the disaster.
"Of course we hope this will be a form of concern that will certainly ease the victims of natural disasters in affected areas," he explained.
