Declaration Of Peace Has Been Made, If The Residents Of Cipinang Besar Are Still Clashing, Don't Blame The Police For Taking Firm Action

East Jakarta Metro Police will take firm action against brawlers from RW 01 and RW 02 Jalan Basuki Rahmat, North Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, if any more brawls are found.

"We have carried out a peace declaration. One of the points is that if residents do not heed the peace declaration that has tied the two residents, then the police will take firm action against the perpetrators of the brawl in any form," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, January 31.

The firm action against law enforcement will be taken because there has been a peace declaration agreed upon by both members of RW 01 and RW 02.

"The police will make forced efforts, and take firm action against residents who carry out brawls," he said.

Kombes Nicolas said that his party would not hesitate to process the perpetrators of the brawl.

"This has become a commitment to a joint declaration. We must enforce this commitment so that no one feels justified and blamed. Whoever does it, he is responsible. Whoever he is, does not see the age limit, he must be responsible in law," said the Police Chief.

Meanwhile, Aboy, one of the residents of RW 02, Cipinang Besar Utara Village, supported the efforts and decisive steps of the East Jakarta Metro Police in anticipating brawls that occurred in his area.

"As for this declaration, I really agree. Because it's called peace, we have to agree with the term. Good things have to start like this. We have a meeting, the meeting is for friendship and coordination," said Aboy to VOI.

Aboy said that actually residents of RW 02 and RW 01 had known each other for a long time and helped provide social assistance in the event of a disaster.

"Actually, when he was on fire, our children helped support him. Help the staff, help us collect funds as well, until we are under, we ask for help for fire victims (RW 01)," he said.

Aboy supports the declaration of peace because he is aware of the many negative impacts due to brawls between residents.

"Losses to residents of RW 02, especially glass cars when broken. Most hit by stones, others - others. There was tear gas, mothers - sorry for the children who had tear gas. In fact, I almost wanted to fire, last week (brawl)," he said.
