JAKARTA - Acacia tree that fell and hit a JakLingko car on Jalan Pahlawan Komarudin, RT 02/03, West Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta was successfully evacuated by East Jakarta Gulkarmat officers. Evacuation of tree cutting was completed on Tuesday, January 30 at around 11.39 WIB.

"The evacuation of trees has been completed. The height of the fallen acacia tree is about 5 meters with a trunk diameter of 30 cm. The tree covered the road and hit the Jak Lingko angkot," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, January 30.

The incident occurred when the Cakung area was hit by heavy rain and strong winds. The heavy intensity of rain makes the trunk of an acacia tree unable to withstand strong winds. So the tree fell.

"The tree had blocked the road and hit the Jak Lingko transportation car. There were no victims in this incident," he said.

The tree evacuation process was carried out using a chainsaw and assisted by 4 firefighters. The tree cutting evaluation process runs for up to 60 minutes.

"Now the situation is under control and safe. The evacuation of fallen trees is complete," he said.

Meanwhile, according to Hardi's statement, the driver of the Jak Lingko car said that he was surprised when a tree suddenly hit the roof of the vehicle's wheelhouse. In fact, he admitted that he had been trapped in the wheelhouse because he was caught in a tree.

"I was passing by, suddenly the tree fell, when I fell there was a tree getting into my left front seat, until I couldn't get out of the car for about five minutes, finally I passed the passenger door out," he said.

Hardi said, the vehicle he was driving was damaged on the roof and glass. But he was grateful that he did not suffer any injuries.

"The windshield was cracked and cracked, the roof of the car was under construction, but I wasn't injured, it was just a shock," he said.
