Palmerah Police Chief Kompol Sugiran explained that the brawl that occurred in his area started from mocking each other.

"At first it was teasing, finally someone was offended by one of the RW 09 teenagers. It was actually spontaneous," said Kompol Sugiran when confirmed, Monday, January 39.

Then the youth group of residents of RW 09 began throwing stones at the opposing group. This action triggered other residents around the location to participate in throwing stones.

"Flying each other. The longer it takes, the other teenagers are also participating. They don't have special preparations," he said.

In addition to throwing stones, the two groups of teenagers involved in the brawl also used sharp weapons and bamboo.

"Spontaneity, anything is used as a tool," he added.

Although there were no injuries and fatalities as a result of the brawl, these clashes were dispersed after police officers arrived at the location. However, the police did not secure the perpetrators of the brawl. The police only confiscated sharp weapons belonging to the perpetrators.

"We have secured three sharp weapons, sickles and machetes," he said.
