Residents' Brawls In North Cipinang Besar Have Happened For 9 Years Due To Trivial Problems

JAKARTA - The brawl between residents of RW 01 and RW 02 on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Cipinang Besar Utara Village (CBU), Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, apparently has been going on for several years. The two RWs which are restricted by the Basuki Rahmat Road section often clash and the trigger is just a trivial matter.

"From the information we got, it was 9 years ago (the brawl occurred). There have been frequent brawls and the last one was Saturday, January 27 night, where the trigger was trivial," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed by VOI, Monday, January 29.

The trivial problem that Kombes Nicolas meant was the existence of five unknown people who were allegedly from residents outside Jatinegara District and riding motorbikes while brandishing bamboo and stones.

"Well, it triggered the two residents to do a brawl," he said.

In a brawl in the North Cipinang Besar area, there was one member of the Samapta Polres Metro East Jakarta who was hit by stones due to a brawl.

"From the police side, there was one who was hit by a stone. He was hit by a stone in the leg," he said.

The last brawl between residents of RW 01 and RW O2, North Cipinang Besar Village occurred on Sunday, January 28. The brawl occurred at 05.30 WIB to 06.30 WIB.

"It happened last week until twice, starting at 03.30 WIB and at 07.30 WIB but it has been anticipated by the security forces," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Jatinegara Police, Kompol Chitya Intania, confirmed that a member of the Police had been a victim due to a brawl by residents in the North Cipinang Besar area.

"Member of Samapta (victim was injured as a result of a brawl), Samapta Polres. One victim. But it's not the current (victim of a brawl), (due to a brawl) ago", he said.

Previously, it was reported that the declaration of peace between residents of RW 01 and RW O2 of Cipinang Besar Utara Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, was marked by self-defense actions. In fact, the peace declaration process which was held at the scene of the brawl (TKP) had clashed between the two warring villages.

A number of residents from RW 01 and RW 02 accused each other of the main causes of the attack which led to a brawl. They are reluctant to be blamed in front of the ranks of the three pillars of the East Jakarta Metro Police.

According to one of the residents of RW 01, North Cipinang Besar Village, the residents across (RW 02) were many fake (not natives of RW 02).

"If you blame each other, everything is wrong. All brawls are wrong, everyone is harmed. That's why we gather here so that it is peaceful," he said in front of the police.

However, the tension between the two warring residents did not last long after being suppressed by the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief.

The two residents of RW 01 and RW 02 who were involved in the brawl finally agreed to make a peace declaration because many residents were harmed by the brawl.
