Hyundai Motor has completely revamped the Avante for the first time in six years. The eighth-generation compact sedan now comes with a new design, a more spacious cabin, improved safety features, and an artificial intelligence (AI) based entertainment system.

Yonhap quoted Friday, June 26, reported that the latest Avante was introduced at the Busan International Mobility Show which opened on Friday in Busan, a port city in the southeast of South Korea. The exhibition lasted for three days.

Hyundai revamped the exterior of the Avante with new daytime running lights and a new rear lamp design.

For the engine, Avante is available in two options. The 2.0-liter gasoline version produces up to 149 horsepower. The 1.6-liter hybrid version produces up to 157 horsepower.

Inside the cabin, Hyundai installed the Pleos Connect infotainment system supported by Gleo AI. The large language model-based technology allows drivers to give natural voice commands to operate a number of vehicle functions and search for information.

The latest Avante is also equipped with a navigation-based Smart Cruise Control. This feature helps the car adjust its speed by utilizing navigation data.

Hyundai also embeds Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) technology, which is a vehicle concept that relies heavily on software to manage various car functions. One of them is the Shift-by-Wire (SBW) transmission, a system for shifting gears through electronic signals.

Hyundai will announce the price of the latest Avante in the third quarter. In the same period, the company began taking reservations.

During the exhibition, Hyundai also opened an interactive experience area for Pleos Connect. The company showcased electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered models, and other mobility technologies.
