JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Army (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak M.Sc., hopes that the results of the 2026 XVI Kasad Cup National Judo Championship will be used for the coaching of athletes who are directed, sustainable and professional, as well as a reference in preparing athletes to face championships at the national and international levels.

Kasad, who is also the General Chairman of the Indonesian Judo Association (PB PJSI), officially closed the 16th Kasad Judo Cup 2026 which was held at the Kartika GOR, Kostrad Infantry Division Headquarters, Cilodong, Depok on June 25-28, 2026.

In a statement to the media after the closing, General Maruli revealed that this Kejurnas recorded a record number of participating athletes reaching 1,424 people.

He also praised the athletes who competed for showing improvements in techniques that are expected to be better in the future.

"The results of this championship should not stop as a record of achievement, but should also be optimally utilized by all stakeholders as a material for evaluation, mapping of abilities and the basis for coaching athletes in a more targeted, sustainable and professional manner," said General Maruli, Sunday (28/6).

Furthermore, Kasad, who hopes that the togetherness and brotherhood that has been built during the championship can be maintained and become an important capital for Judo training in the country, conveyed a special message for coaches and all parties involved in coaching this sport.

"Make the results of this National Games as a reference in preparing athletes to face various sports agendas both at the national and international levels," said Kasad.

Out as the overall champion and the most gold medal winner for the Cadet, Junior and Senior categories of the DKI Jakarta Provincial PJSI, followed by West Java and Bali.

Meanwhile, for the overall champion and the most gold medal winner in the TNI-Polri category, namely the Bali Police, followed by Paspampres and Kopassus.

For individual achievements, they came out as the best Cadet male judoka, namely Rafka Adita from the South Sumatra Provincial Office of the Indonesian Judo Association, and Dhanya Ghyin Juanda from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office for Cadet girls.

In the Junior category, Daud Verdinand Pelupessy from the East Java Provincial Office of the Indonesian National Student Association (PJSI) came out as the best in the boys' group, as well as Ni Komang Ayu Tri Lestari from the Bali Provincial Office of the Indonesian National Student Association (PJSI) in the girls' group.

Meanwhile, in the Senior category, Muh. Rizqi Maula from the West Java Provincial Office of the Indonesian National Student Association (PJSI) came out as the best in the boys' group, as well as Chelsea Tiffany Cia from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office of the Indonesian National Student Association (PJSI) as the best in the girls' group.

And in the TNI-Polri category, Serka Made Agus Yoga from Kodam III Siliwangi and Serka (K) Vika Irma Safitri from Paspampres came out as the best in the male and female groups.
