SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Police (Polrestabes) reviewed a number of important objects for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), namely the KPU, Bawaslu, and logistics storage warehouses in the Margomulyo warehouse area, Kota Pahlawan, East Java.

Surabaya Police Chief Kombees Pasma Royce said the checks were carried out to ensure security ahead of the election on February 14, 2024.

"Coordination and checks at the Surabaya City KPU Office, as well as the Surabaya City Bawaslu then at the logistics warehouse in order to review and check regarding the readiness of the KPU and Bawaslu as election organizers in facing the 2024 General Election," said Pasma as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 27.

In addition to the readiness to organize a democratic party, the checks are also to determine the readiness of police officers in carrying out the task of securing the 2024 General Election.

Pasma explained that the logistics warehouse security scheme in the Margomulyo area involved officers from the Surabaya Police and the Tanjung Perak Port Resort Police (Polres).

"The Polrestabes Police will continue to coordinate with the KPU and Bawaslu as election organizers regarding preparations for securing the 2024 General Election, especially in the jurisdiction of the Polrestabes," he said.

"So it is guaranteed that the implementation of elections is safe according to the stages mandated by law," he said.
