BAKTI Kominfo Officials Admit To Receiving Rp300 Million From BTS Corruption Suspects

JAKARTA - The Head of the Lastmile/Backhaul Division of BAKTI Kominfo, Muhammad Feriandi Mirza, admitted that he received Rp. 300 million from the suspect in the alleged corruption case in the provision of 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure for the 2020-2022 period, Windi Purnama. The confession began when Chief Judge Fahzal Hendri questioned Mirza about receiving money. Meanwhile, Mirza was presented as a witness for the defendant, former Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G Plate; President Director of the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) and Budget User Authority (KPA) Anang Achmad Latif; and HuDEV UI Expert, Yohan Suryanto. "On whose orders did you receive the money?" asked Fahzal during a trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, July 25. "I didn't ask who (the origin of the money), Windi Purnama," Mirza replied "Well, who did you receive the money from. How did you know who received it?" said the judge. "No one ordered. Yes, no one ordered the noble," said Mirza. Hearing this statement, Chief Judge Fahzal asked Mirza to provide actual information. Because, all of his statements will affect the decisions of the defendants. "If you don't give your statement, it's under oath, if the public prosecutor is just demanding, this is just defending, this is a decision, sir. So what's true?" said Judge Fahzal. Until finally, Mirza admitted to receiving Rp300 million from Windi, who is a confidant of the Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy, Irwan Hermawan. Originally, Irwan Hermawan was a friend of his superiors, the President Director of BAKTI and KPA, Anang Achmad Latif. "From Windi Purnama, how much?" asked Judge Fahzal. "Rp. 300 million," Mirza replied. "What's that money?" said Judge Fahzal. "I don't know," Mirza said. "Windi didn't tell you, suddenly gave the money who ordered it and why did this money be conveyed by whom. Is that right, sir, we are not a child anymore?" said Judge Fahzal. "Yes, Your Honor, I honestly don't know the background of delivering the money. Then because Windi's brother was a friend of Irwan's brother, I thought it was conveyed on the orders of Irwan's brother. Because Irwan's brother was a friend of Mr. Anang. Then I thought whether Mr. Anang had asked him that," said Mirza. Then, Mirza said that he had used the Rp300 million to buy vehicle assets. However, because this corruption case was revealed, Mirza had also returned the money to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) investigators. "The money has been returned. Returned to the Attorney General's Office?" asked Judge Fahzal. "It's been Your Honor January 2022. It was immediately deposited," Mirza replied. "Did you receive (money from) the others?" asked the judge again. "No," Mirza said briefly. For information, in this case, former Minister of Communication and Information Johnny Plate was charged with alleged corruption in the provision of BTS infrastructure and supporters of Kominfo for the 2020 period — 2022 which cost the state finances Rp8,032,084,133,795.51.

The indictment also states that a number of parties who benefited from the development project, namely Johnny G. Plate received money amounting to Rp17,848,308,000.00, Anang Achmad Latif as the President Director of the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) and the power of budget user (KPA) received Rp5 billion; Yohan Suryanto as the Ministry of Indonesia's Human Development (HUDEV UI) expert received Rp453,608,400.00. Next, Irwan Hermawan as Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy received Rp119 billion, Windi Purnama as Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera received Rp500 million Muhammad Yusrizki as Director of PT Basar Utama Prima received Rp50 billion and 2.5 million US dollars, FiberHome Consortium PT Telkominfra PT Multi Trans Data (PT MTD) for Package 1 and 2 received Rp2,940,870,824,490.00, Consortium Lintaarta Huawei SEI for Package 3 received Rp1,584,914,955 and Consortium IBS and ZTE Package 4 and Package 5 received Rp3,504,518,715,600,00
