Thieves Break Into Luxury Homes In Lenteng Agung, Make Up Tools And Tens Of Million Rupiah Stolen

JAKARTA - The police are investigating the alleged theft of makeup tools and two piggy banks containing IDR 15 million from the victim's rented house with the initials AS, one of the luxury houses in the Lenteng Agung area, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta on Wednesday night, January 1, at 19.00 WIB.

"We are still investigating the case," said Jagakarsa Police Chief Kompol Multazam Lisendra when contacted, in Jakarta, Thursday.

Multazam explained that his party could not confirm the gender of the perpetrator because the incident took place at night.

However, his party confirmed through surveillance cameras (CCTV) the characteristics of the perpetrator, namely wearing a thick black shirt, light brown pants, wearing a black face covering, white sandals, a black sling bag, and using a motorbike, but the number plate not clearly visible.

"At that time victim AS left his rented house with his wife and children to go shopping," he explained.

However, at 19.00 WIB, the victim was called by a neighbor who informed him that the victim's rented gate was open and the main door was not locked.

Then, at that time, the victim's wife returned to the rented house first, followed by the victim who saw exactly the same thing as his neighbor had told him.

"Then, the victim immediately checked the bedroom cupboard and lost two piggy banks containing IDR 15 million along with his wife's makeup tools," he added.

Due to this incident, the next day the victim reported the incident to the Jagakarsa Police.

"We went to the crime scene (TKP), looked for clues through CCTV, and examined the victim for further investigation," he said.
