Commission VIII DPR Believes Hajj Village In Makkan Can Be Realized By President Prabowo

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Marwan Dasopang believes that Indonesian Hajj Village, in Makkah City, Saudi Arabia, will be realized by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Building old ideals for Indonesian Hajj Villages. So all areas of Indonesia, maybe only towers (menara-menara) will be different later," said Marwan, in Medan, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 17.

If you look at the determination of this new government, he said, the land handed over by Prince Muhammad Bin Salman covering an area of 50 hectares for the 100-year concession will soon be realized.

His party said that if the Indonesian Hajj Village was realized, then Commission VIII of the DPR RI would submit a pilgrimage for 30 days in the Holy Land.

"Commission VIII submitted a Hajj for 30 days. Saudi Arabia has been objecting to 30 days of Hajj, because the money will decrease. If so, we will make a new offer for 30 days of Hajj, tomorrow it will be Umrah," said Marwan.

This member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the constituency of North Sumatra 2, also said that the implementation of Umrah was by building hotels as places for Indonesian pilgrims to stay in Thaif City, Saudi Arabia.

The city of Thaif is a cool area in the western region of Saudi Arabia, precisely in the mountains of Asir and the Al Hada mountains about 67 kilometers from Makkah City.

"So we don't fly from Jeddah, instead our congregation stays two nights around the Thai tourist area. Who has the hotel? The Hajj Village belongs to Indonesia and the hotel belongs to the BPKH (Hajj Financial Management Agency)," said Marwan.

Deputy Minister of Religion (Wamenag) Father HR Muhammad Syafi'i said President Prabowo Subianto wanted to build a Hajj village in Makkah City, Saudi Arabia, to facilitate pilgrims from Indonesia.

"This Hajj village is President Prabowo's commitment to provide excellent service to pilgrims from Indonesia," said the Deputy Minister of Religion during the soft launching of the latest application of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Apps in Padang City, West Sumatra, Saturday 2 November.

The Deputy Minister of Religion said that President Prabowo's wish departed from his concern to see the presence of pilgrims from the country who often do not get maximum service.

In fact, pilgrims have saved or collected money for years in not a small amount. However, they do not get the service properly.

"Therefore, the President plans to build an Indonesian Hajj village with all facilities that can facilitate congregations," said Romo.
