JAKARTA - PT Sokoindo Automobile has officially launched the latest electric vehicle, Seres E1, for the Indonesian market by announcing its price in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
Having a small and unique appearance, Seres E1 is presented as a car equipped with many features and technology. However, the micro car is priced at an affordable price.
The E1 series is priced at IDR 189 million for the lowest variant, namely Type B and its highest variant, Type L which is valued at IDR 219 million.
Seres E1 is the result of all input from the Indonesian people developed by technicians and engineers from Seres, so that the car becomes a reliable vehicle to go through daily activities.
Even though the price is already cheap for an EV, it is known that the price can still be suppressed if it meets the requirements for the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). PT Sokoindo Automobile as the APM of the brand continues to take the initiative to provide incentives for electric cars from the government.
Head of Marketing for PT Sokoindo Automobile, Achmad Rofiqi, said that his party would make every effort to get the Seres E1 into the TKDN calculation. Thus, incentives for electric cars can be achieved.
"We are currently still in the calculation of the TKDN level problem, at least the price includes the scheme for incentives," said Rofiqi at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Tuesday, August 15.
However, he said that Seres E1 will have the status of Indonesia's Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle in September and not Completely Build-Up (CBU).
The E1 series will later be produced at a factory owned by PT Sokoindo Automobile, located in Cikande, Banten, along with the production of the DFSK brand. Seres will be the first manufacturer to fully produce electric vehicles in Indonesia.
This car will be a competitor to Wuling Air ev in the country's electric vehicle industry. Seres E1 is a form of brand innovation and seriousness in the national automotive market and serves sustainable urban mobility needs.
