Duran Duran Celebrates 40 Years Of Career With 'Anniversary'

JAKARTA - Duran Duran, a British group released their latest song titled Anniversary. This song is part of celebrating 40 years of career in the music industry so far.

Anniversary has a tone that will remind fans of Duran Duran's work. This time they involved Erol Alkan in the producer section. In addition, they also work with the famous musician Giorgio Moroder.

"Anniversary is a song that means a lot to us. It is clear that we are aware of our upcoming 40th anniversary as a band, but apart from that meaning, we also want the meaning of this song to be able to cover many other things broadly," said John Taylor, bassist for Duran Duran.

The meaning of Anniversary is made like celebrating their 40 years together. John Taylor himself intentionally included some elements from previous Duran Duran hits for this song.

Anniversary is one of the tracks from the Future Past album which involves a number of collaborators from various genres. Call it Tove Lo, Ivorian Doll, Japanese group CHAI, Blur guitarist Graham Coxon, Mark Ronson, and Mike Garson.

This album was created and recorded since the pandemic began in 2020 in London and Los Angeles. Future Past will release in physical and digital formats on October 22.
