PALEMBANG - The Panel of Judges at the Palembang Class IA Special District Court rejected the exception of four teenagers who killed a junior high school student in Talang Kericil, the Chinese Public Cemetery.

In the interlocutory trial, the panel of judges rejected the exception submitted by the attorney for four children in conflict with Hermawan's law (ABH).

"In principle, the panel of judges is not accepted because our exception argument has been included in the subject matter, so it must be proven further in court," Hermawan said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 3.

He said the panel of judges asked the public prosecutor (JPU) and the defendant's attorney to present each witness to prove the subject matter of the case.

As for the witnesses from the prosecutor, there were 13 witnesses and three lawyers.

"In the next trial, we hope to look forward to the presence of witnesses to explain the criminal acts that ensnared our clients," he said.

The murder of a junior high school student with the initials AA was carried out by four suspects, namely IS, aged 16, who is the main actor, MZ (13 years old), MS (12 years old), and AS (12 years old) at TPU Chinese Palembang, August 31, 2024.

In the indictment, the prosecutor charged the four ABHs with multiple layers of articles, namely Articles 76E, 76D, and 76C of the child protection law and Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338 and Article 285 of the Criminal Code.
