Greta Gerwig: Saairse Ronan And Timothatur Chalamet Should Be Cameo In Barbie Film

JAKARTA - Director Greta Gerwig revealed that Sahairse Ronan and Timothmen Chalamet were originally planned to appear as cameos in their latest film, Barbie. But the plan had to be canceled, why?

The two actors are the main characters in several Gerwig films, so he considers their presence to be a reunion for the third time.

"Well, it should always be a smaller thing because he was filming at the time, which made me very proud of him," Greta Gerwig told CinemaBlend.

And of course, it's brilliant. But it's going to be a special cameo. I'm also going to do a special cameo with kalin (Timothmen Chalamet). Both couldn't do it and I was very upset," Gerwig said.

Considering the two like their own children, Gerwig regretted that these two actors could not be present in his latest film. Apart from that, he still supports Ronan and Chalamet's skyrocketing careers.

I really love them. But it feels like doing something without my children. I mean, I'm not their mother, but I feel like their mother," he said again.

In September, Saorise Ronan explained he was supposed to appear as another Barbie in Gerwig's latest film. However, the busy filming schedule forced him to cancel the plan.

I should have made a cameo because I lived in London and they filmed there. There's a character I'm going to play - Barbie. I'm sad I can't do it," said Sapirse Ronan.

Saorise Ronan and Timothatur Chalamet first collaborated with Greta Gerwig in their first film, Ladybird (2017). Then they were reunited in Little Women in 2019.

Ronan was shooting his latest film, The Outrun when filming Barbie. Likewise with Chalamet who worked on Dune 2 and Wonka.
