YOGYAKARTA In 2025, Muslims are immediately greeted by the month of Rajab. In that month the Muslim community competed to carry out deeds of worship and goodness. This was done not to be separated from the virtues of the month of Rajab.

The number of moons in the sight of Allah is twelve months, in the Decree of Allah in the time of He created the heaven and earth, among which four months are forbidden. (QS. At-Taubah: 36).

The priority of the Rajab month in the teachings of Islam is the month in which several major events occur. One of the special events that occurred in the month of Rajab was Isra Mi'raj, which some scholars said occurred on the night of the 27 Rajab.

In that month Allah SWT also gave an order to the Prophet SAW to reap the 5th prayer.

Another major event that also occurred in the month of King is the victory of Muslims in the Tabuk War. In the month of King 9 Hijriyah, Muslims under the command of the Prophet SAW at that time defeated the Roman army.

Muslims are encouraged to perform sunnah worship, one of which is fasting. This is because the fasting of the King's fast will be multiplied by Allah SWT. This is like a hadith quoted by Imam Fakhruddin al-Razi in his book entitled Mafatih al-Ghaib as reported by NU Online which means as follows.

Whoever fasts for one day in the holy months (Dzulqadah, Dzulhijjah, Muharram, and Rajab), then he will be rewarded with a fast of 30 days.

The month of King is also often used as the beginning to carry out and increase worship in the month of Ramadan. As is known, two months before Ramadan was Rajab, while Rajab was a special month besides Ramadan.
