BPKP Lamban Counts State Losses In ASDP Corruption Cases, KPK Has The Opportunity To Use Internal Forensic Accountants

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has the opportunity to use an internal forensic accountant to calculate state losses in the corruption case of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). This is because the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) has not carried out its duties to date.

"Indeed, there are options that can be taken if this is difficult. As previously stated, the KPK also has its own forensic accountant to be able to carry out calculations and this option can be considered for consideration," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 3.

Tessa explained that this possibility would later be determined by investigators. However, he agrees that BPKP has not yet issued a letter of assignment to calculate state losses at the state-owned company.

As a result, the detention of the suspects in this case could not be contained. "Currently, the information we get from investigators is that there is no letter of duty to calculate state losses from BPKP," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption related to business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). The actions of the suspects are suspected of causing state losses of up to Rp1.27 trillion, but this figure could change because the calculation is still ongoing.

A total of four suspects have been named even though it has not been officially announced. Based on the information obtained, they are the President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi; Harry MAC as Director of Planning and Development; Muhammad Yusuf Hadi as Director of Commercial and Services of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero); and Adjie as the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.

State losses arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara was carried out by crashing into a number of regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) bought the private company with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion in February 2022 and controlled 100 percent of its shares including 53 managed vessels.

In this case, the anti-corruption commission has carried out forced efforts in the form of confiscation of 23 property assets from October to December 2024. Dozens of lands and buildings are estimated to be worth IDR 1.2 trillion.
