JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Binamarga Sub-department's Task Force found tens of kilograms of coils of cable skin in the waterway of Bungur Raya Street, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

Central Jakarta Binamarga Sub-dept. Task Force, Supangat, said that the discovery of the cable skin stems from reports from residents regarding the collapsed road.

After reviewing the location and checking, it turned out that under the road there were culverts or waterways.

"When we opened the culvert, it turned out that there were tens of kilograms of cable skin. When we saw the cable skin, we immediately removed it from the channel", said Supangat on Bungur Raya Street, Thursday, January 20.

Then all the cable skins were immediately loaded into a truck belonging to the Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Binamarga. All the cables were immediately taken to Kemayoran Equipment and Supplies (Alkal).

"This is a roll of cable skin like in Ahok's time, this is the same", he said.

Head of the Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department of Task Force, Supriyadi, confirmed the existence of cable skins of various types and sizes. The discovery began with a Binamarga officer who wanted to fix a collapsed road.

"It was only this year that the skins of these cables were found, last year they were not found. Because last year we did dredging in this channel and we did not find the skins of the cables", he said.

Supriyadi said that the existence of the cable skin in the culverts was the work of irresponsible people. The reason is that the copper cable does not exist at all and only the skin of the cable is found.

"Surely it was copper that was stolen, I'm sure I was stolen by an irresponsible person. The problem is that someone told me not long ago that something had entered the channel", he said.
