Spotify Launches Music Time Capsule Through Playlist in a Bottle Feature

JAKARTA - Spotify has released a new Playlist in a Bottle feature, with which users can create their own music time capsules to open next year.

Just a month after Spotify Wrapped 2022 was released, which makes music fans reflect on the year that has just passed, this Playlist in a Bottle feature invites users to look forward to 2024, aka the feature can only be opened at that time.

Playlists in a Bottle is Spotify's newest way to give users access to a wealth of data about their listening habits and then share it on social media.

This feature can capture exactly what users listened to this year, and then turn it into a summary that will be sent exactly one year later.

To access Spotify's Playlist in a Bottle feature, make sure the app is up to date, then go to spotify.com/playlistinabottle on the user's smartphone, and follow the prompts.

Spotify will ask for three clues inspired by the song, then it will lock the user's Playlist in a Bottle until 2024.

However, quoted from Spotify's official website, Friday, January 6, users should activate this feature as soon as possible, because Spotify only gives until the end of January to access it.

Playlist in a Bottle is available to free and premium subscribers located in the United States (US), United Kingdom, Australia, France, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Turkey, Brazil, Germany, Canada, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Chile, UAE, Colombia, Indonesia, Sweden, Egypt, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Czech Republic, Denmark, Morocco, Philippines and Poland.
