Darwin Nunez Is Considered Faster Than Fernando Torres, More Agile Than Erling Haaland

JAKARTA - Former Almeria assistant coach, David Badia, said Darwin Nunez had advantages that former Liverpool player Fernando Torres did not have. He is also considered to have a slight advantage over the new Manchester City player, Erling Haaland.

Badia is not the origin of speech. He knows very well how the character of the player who just brought Liverpool from Benfica. This is because Badia and Darwin Nunez have worked together in Almeria.

"I think Darwin is a little bit faster than Torres. When Darwin has the ball, he's a very good player. He can control the ball, he can keep the ball," Badia said in an interview with Stats Perform.

"Maybe Fernando also does the same action at a slower pace level, that's also good because you can do a lot of things. However, in my opinion, Darwin can play faster," he continued.

In addition, according to Badia, Nunez also has an advantage that the new Manchester United player, Erling Haaland, does not have. He said the player who scored 34 goals in 41 games for Benfica last season was more flexible than Haaland.

"I don't want to say they are similar because I think Darwin can be a little more flexible. He is a player who can change direction a little faster than Haaland," he said.

"Maybe Haaland is a little bit stronger and when he starts (runs) he breaks everything in front of him, but I think Darwin is more agile," continued Badia.

Badia also believes that Nunez's character will match the playing style applied by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. According to him, the Uruguayan is a combination of many things.

"For the style that Liverpool has, I think him like that would suit him better," he said.
