The Boss Of The PS Store, Putra Siregar, Who Just Returned Home From Umrah, Has Become A Suspect In Beating Case

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Budhi Herdi Susianto explained the chronology of the case of beatings by Rico Valentino and Putra Siregar that occurred at the CD cafe in Cikajang, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Budhi explained that the incident occurred on March 2, then at around 02.30 a.m. with the victim MNA, initials. Budhi said, at that time both the victim and the suspect were at the cafe, at the TKP.

Budhi said that someone was drunk, and this incident was triggered when Rico Valentino's girlfriend came to the victim's table at the cafe. Budhi did not explain why Rico's female friend had to approach the victim, but Budhi said that at that time Rico was immediately angry when he came to the victim and beat him.

Budhi said Putra Siregar, who was with Rico at the time, also did the same thing, kicking and pushing the victim. The beating was caught on the cafe's CCTV camera and used as evidence in this case.

After the beating incident, continued Budhi, the victim had not reported it to the police. The victim said he only did the post-mortem, with the hope that at that time the victim would give Rico and Putra time to reconcile. However, Budhi said, up to 2 weeks there was no response, so on March 16, this case was officially reported to the police.

"We from the National Police are carrying out an investigation and investigation into this case, for the needs of these two suspects, we are snaring Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 5 years in prison," Commissioner Budhi told reporters, April 13.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Police AKBP Ridwan Soplanit said that Rico and Putra Siregar were present at the cafe until 2 p.m. to attend a friend's birthday. But not so with victims, ordinary immigrants.

"We are still exploring this, because they are different tables, different groups. And when the event comes, it's different. RC and PS came to attend a friend's birthday who invited them. Meanwhile, MNA didn't come for a birthday party," Ridwan explained.

Meanwhile, Putra Siregar explained that when the victim admitted to giving him two weeks to reconcile, the PS Store boss admitted that he had just returned from Umrah.

"I'm doing umrah, I'm afraid I won't go for umrah. I'm afraid that I made an appointment with Umrah that I won't go for Umrah, but I'm cooperative. Just got home, straight here, still this bald," said Putra Siregar at the South Jakarta Police during a press conference, Wednesday, April 13.
