Sony Introduces ZV-E10 II Camera At The 2024 Alpha Festival Event

JAKARTA Sony officially introduced its newest camera in Indonesia through the Alpha Festival 2024 event on Friday, September 6. Sony launched the ZV-E10 II camera, which was created specifically for content creators.

Like other Sony ZV series, this camera is a Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera (MILC) type that can make it easier for creators to create regular video content, vlogging, or photography. Compared to the previous generation's ZV-E1, the mark 2 version has increased a lot.

Head of Digital Imaging Product Marketing Sony Indonesia Ryusuke Haruki said that the image quality of ZV-E10 II has developed. The resolution has reached 4K 60p/50p with a color sampling of 4.2.2 10bit. There are now three recording formats, namely XAVC S, XAVC HS, and XAVC S-I.

This latest mirrorless camera still adopts features from previous generations, but there are also improvements such as Focus Breathing Compensation and Shot Mark. ZV-E10 II now supports vertical formats and users can change orientation easily.

To support Cinematic Vlog, Sony added a setting in the form of a frame rate 24p ratio and autofocus transition speeds ranging from high, mid, to low. ZV-E10 II gets Real-time Eye Autofocus, Fast Hybrid Autofocus, and Real Time Tracking capabilities.

Sony ZV-E10 II camera capacity also increased thanks to NP-FZ100 and got an additional time for FullHD video recording up to 130 minutes for one filling, while cumulative shootings reached 610 images.

The pre-order period for ZV-E10 II has been open since August 14 and will be closed on September 8. For the camera body alone, this device is priced at IDR 16.999 million, while the ZV-E10 II kit is priced at IDR 18.999 million.

Haruki, in the question and answer session, explained that this device will be sold simultaneously with mark 1. Even though they have launched the same camera type, with a better increase, ZV-E10 I can still be found in Sony stores.

"We have no plans to stop the production of mark 1, this camera will continue to exist. For us, the prices of the two cameras are different, the targets (markets) are also different. So, there is an audience (for the camera) each," Haruki explained.
