JAKARTA - After allowing users to buy the top position in the reply section with an X Premium subscription, the social media platform is now launching a new menu that allows users to sort replies with more traditional options.

This new feature was launched on iOS and Web on Friday 9 August. Although this feature is relatively small, its presence is highly appreciated. For those of you who feel disturbed by blue tick users who often post irrelevant content just to get a look and engagement, now there is good news!

With this new menu, you can sort replies based on relevance, recent, or the most preferred. The relevance option will most likely be based on who paid the most for X/Twitter, while the latest and most preferred options are pretty clear.

Unfortunately, the settings you choose for retaliatory sorting won't be saved, so you have to select them again every time you see a new tweet. However, this is a step forward to make the reply more usable.

As a reminder, after Elon Musk acquired Twitter in 2022, he launched a new version of Twitter Blue which gives users a blue tick and a boost to the top position in the reply. In 2023, X Premium+ was launched at a cost of 16 US dollars/month, with a larger boost over the standard Premium X.

The system is completely payment-based for profit, which has resulted in many people using it for self-promotion in the reply section of popular tweets.
